Your guest is onto it with the electric vehicle push. It’s all about getting people pushed onto the grid. The electric gris is highly centralized and controllable. Throttle the electric when everyone is in electric vehicles and you control movement and “save the environment”. Secondly, you can herd the people out of rural areas and into population centers. Proper districts will provide for your needs better. Lastly, electricity grid ultimately doesn’t require other countries (pretty much) for production. Oil cartels are put out of business. We are currently being herded onto the grid then into the cities.
