Summary:
The State of the Union address has long been a self-congratulatory Roman spectacle, with the sitting president taking credit for things he either had nothing to do with or hadn’t occurred at all, along with making promises no government on Earth can possibly keep. But the 2026 SOTU marks the point where the empire officially became delusional.
